An unused basement in a commercial building becomes an awesome conference room

Asian and traditional, what a great combination

from bland and boring to rich and asian eclectic

This family spent months each year in the orient and brought home beautiful accessories over the years.  The feature of this room was the 12 foot wide by 8 foot tall hand carved room divider in the living room balanced by the black metallic tile with red accents on the opposite kitchen wall.  We replaced all the flooring with a porcelain tile that had the look and feel of real fabric.  In the kitchen we refinished the existing cabinets, rotated the island, replaced the counter tops and accessorized with oil rubbed bronze finishes and added a new dinette set with an Asian influence.  We             re- purposed the existing furniture, created a new fireplace surround with an Asian flair, added new lighting, an area rug and accessories to complete the rooms.  In the dining room we stained the cabinets to match the kitchen, cut out the center of the upper doors and added etched rain glass, new lighting and drapes.  In the main wall in the sitting room with the piano we added custom hand painted wallpaper, 20 foot tall draperies.  The overall appearance was rich, traditional, comfortable and visually enticing.
