Remodel of 10 unit apartment

This 65 year old building was an ugly duckling. After 25 years the owner decided to finally give it the attention it desperately needed. We decided to go all out and gut the interiors down to the studs which as it turned out was one of the most important parts of the remodel. There was a lot of wood rot damage, old leaky plumbing and dangerous electrical and electrical boxes. A new HVAC system was also installed replacing the old fashioned window units. We tore out walls to give the units an open concept and designed steel and glass windows and french doors with louvre windows to replace the hodgepodge mix of doors. This required a lot of brick work which was well worth the trouble. The main concrete walkway was widened by 10 feet and the upstairs deck was also widened by 10 the same feet. Fun hanging chairs and outdoor dining tables now fill the space. The front facade was sand blasted to remove the old grey paint leaving a beautiful red brick. The courtyard was surrounded by newly planted trees and astro turf that gave privacy to a jacuzzi, outdoor fireplace and seating area and outdoor BBQ and diing. This was complimented by brick painted a beautiful navy blue and all the railings a creamy white.
